It seems to be the final plan – Bethesda won’t be featuring The Elder Scrolls VI at E3 2019. And reports suggest that Starfield, the other upcoming major Bethesda video game, will have the same fate.
‘The Elder Scrolls VI’ Delayed
As posted on GameSpot.com, these two major games from Bethesda won’t appear during the Bethesda press conference at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. So what’s keeping the game publisher from releasing sixth major installment of The Elder Scrolls?
In a recent in-depth interview with IGN, Bethesda boss Todd Howard revealed their plans for the next major The Elder Scrolls video game. According to Howard, they envisioned the upcoming The Elder Scrolls game to have the same longevity as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which until now remains a very popular game to a lot of players. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released back in 2011.
For Howard, he wishes that The Elder Scrolls VI would last for at least a decade.
“I think it’s good to miss things. I think that makes people come to it with really, really fresh eyes, Howard said. He added, “When you eventually see the game and what we have in mind, [you’ll] understand the gap more in terms of technology and what we want it to do.”
Sadly though, Howard did not give even a bit of hint as to when they plan to release the next The Elder Scrolls video game. If you remember, the last time we heard some good news about the upcoming The Elder Scrolls was back at E3 2018.
Appearance at E3 2019
Based on the calendar of Bethesda, they plan to release Starfield first and then followed by the sixth major installment of The Elder Scrolls. Still, more gamers are waiting whether Bethesda would somehow tickle their imagination at E3 2019 and perhaps have a change of heart to reveal some good news about The Elder Scrolls VI.
We’ll bring you more details on The Elder Scrolls VI as it becomes available so stay tuned.
