ONE Championship™ (ONE) has officially announced Asia’s largest esports world championship series and confirmed the upcoming events for the 2019-2020 season.
The first in its calendar is the ONE TEKKEN Tokyo Invitational which will be held on October 5, 2019. This will be followed by ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge the following day, October 6th.
Next in ONE Esports’ agenda will be a series of Dota 2 World Pro Invitationals featuring the top Dota teams in the world. The first will be ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational which will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on December 20-22, 2019. It will be followed by ONE Dota 2 Jakarta World Pro Invitational, to be held at ICE BSD on April 17-19, 2020. The prize pool for these two invitational events is tagged at US$500,000.
The latest turn of events saw Carlos Alimurung being named as the CEO of ONE Esports. He will be tasked to designing the vision and strategy, setting the company’s goals, and supporting the team to execute and deliver.
